Socka Castle (Einod) was already referred to as a manor in the 15th century. In 1404, the land register from Krško reports that the estate with the castle, 12 farms, five vineyards and two houses was leased by Popel Vitanjski, Ivan Slovenjegraški and his brother Kunz Winther. In the following centuries, the castle changed many tenants and owners and, through reconstructions, altered its appearance. Older residents of Socka still remember the last owner, the Englishman Walter Dickin, to this day.

Between 1909 and 1912, Walter Dickin completely renovated the castle and turned it into a modern and luxurious residence. The family mostly lived in Vienna during the winter and spent the summers at Socka Castle. Walter Dickin, who worked as a banker in Bucharest, traveled between Vienna, Socka and Bucharest. The castle in its present form would no longer be recognized by its former owners, as the complete renovation of the residential part (approx. 210 m2) and the partial renovation of the other parts have made it a pleasant, modern and stylish residence with a touch of castle mystery.
